Healing starts with safety, let's connect and create a safe space for you.

I specialize in individual counselling, youth counselling, parenting support, EMDR therapy, and neurodiversity affirming therapy.

Welcome!

The process of finding a therapist for the first time, or connecting with a new one may feel daunting. Finding a therapist that feels like the right fit for you is a critical step in the counselling process! Research confirms that the relationship you build with your counsellor is the most important factor related to positive outcomes for you as a client.

This is why I offer a free 15 minute phone or virtual consult appointment. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of what it is like to speak with me, and in turn I will let you know if I can support you. If I don’t feel that I can, I will provide you with alternate referrals.

If you have found yourself here on this page, you may be struggling with confidence, making decisions or coping in general.  Maybe you are exhausted from stress and anxiety. Many people I support feel at war with themselves for continuing to experience thoughts, feelings and behaviours that are unhelpful, unhealthy or damaging. Perhaps you feel stuck in repetitive cycles with others and/or yourself. You may be struggling with symptoms of trauma, experiencing intrusive thoughts or having difficulty coming to terms with overwhelming life experiences. Many people feel intense emotions related to childhood events or relational trauma. This often results in feeling lost, dysregulated, disconnected from yourself and causes difficulty connecting to others.

These are often normal human reactions to trauma, chronic stress and overwhelm.  If you are feeling alone, unsupported, or pressured to present well while struggling inside, then you are experiencing a difficult chapter of your life. It is likely that taking the courageous step of reaching out and finding the right support for you will be transformative.

Let’s connect and see if we may be the right fit, your next chapter is yet to be written.
